The Story of Cotmad
It began as a quiet conversation between a brush and a soul.
Long before Cotmad had a name or a home in Scotland, it was simply a sanctuary - a private way to translate the deep, unspoken feelings of life into the vibrant language of color. For years, my art was a personal hobby, a silent passion that lived within the four corners of a canvas. It stayed that way until I began sharing my work with those closest to me. Seeing my friends find pieces of their own stories in my paintings changed everything. What started as a gift for a loved one soon grew into a series of personal commissions, and I realized that art is at its most beautiful when it serves as a bridge between people.
When the world grew quiet in 2020, my creative world expanded. In that stillness, the hobby matured into a calling. I spent those months fully immersed in the alchemy of acrylics and the precision of digital design, refining a craft that had finally found its true purpose.
Today, Cotmad is the professional culmination of that journey. From our studio in Scotland, we curate "Everything Art", from original collections to bespoke sketches, with the same intimacy and care that went into those very first paintings for my friends. Though we have grown, our heart remains unchanged: we believe in art that is intentional, soulful, and uniquely yours, always.

My work is rooted in the belief that art should be both deeply personal and functionally beautiful. What began in 2018 as a transformative creative journey has evolved from private moments at a canvas into a multi-disciplinary studio. At the core of my practice are original acrylic paintings and custom digital sketches, where I use textured brushwork and atmospheric palettes to explore themes of light and resilience. These one-of-a-kind pieces serve as the foundation for everything I create, capturing an "original spark" that I now translate across a variety of mediums.
As my studio expanded in 2020, I began applying this artistic vision to brand identity and tactile storytelling. I now specialize in bespoke logo designing and comprehensive brand development, helping others find a visual voice that feels as authentic as a hand-painted stroke. This period also marked the launch of my stationery line, where I focused on journal designing, eventually curating a collection of ten unique, themed journals. Each one is crafted to be a sanctuary for thoughts, much like the canvases I first started with in my home.
By 2024, the vision for Cotmad grew to include wearable art and everyday objects. I began designing custom hoodies and t-shirts, ensuring that my art wasn't just hanging on a wall but moving through the world with the people who wear it. Alongside apparel, I offer custom prints on a wide range of products, allowing my designs to live on functional items that people interact with daily. From a large-scale painting to a carefully placed logo on a sweatshirt, my goal is to provide a piece of that original journey to everyone who interacts with my work.
